Gold Kangaroo Coin

An iconic product of The Perth Mint, the gold, silver and platinum Australian kangaroo bullion coins are a striking tribute to Australia’s most recognisable animal.

Bearing the mighty red kangaroo, each design captures their distinct bounding movement.

DESIGN

The reverse of each small gold coin portrays a kangaroo standing on a mound of grass with a sun and stylised trees as a backdrop. The reverse of the 1 kilo gold coin depicts the classic artistry of the iconic bounding kangaroo surrounded by rays of sunlight.

Each coin design also incorporations the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, the 2019 year-date, the weight and purity, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of each coin.
