The popular 1 ounce gold coin Pacific Sovereign from 2009, produced in 2009 and has been discontinued since 2012. For this reason, the popularity of this coin among collectors and enthusiasts also rose sharply. The gold coin features a beach and palm tree motif with the inscription “Pacific Sovereign”, “Fiji” and the mint year 2009. The reverse of the gold coin features Elizabeth the II with the inscription “Elizabeth II”, “Fiji”, “100 Dollars” and again the year of mintage 2009.
