Founded in 1896 as a branch to the British Royal Mint, Perth Mint today is one of the largest minting plants globally, owned by the Western Australian government. Manufacturer of the iconic ‘Kangaroo’ gold and silver investment coins, Perth Mint also produce a popular lunar series and a range of sought-after collector coins.
The dragon is a legendary reptilian creature steeped in cultural significance. In Western folklore it is portrayed as a winged beast that unleashes a destructive flame. In the Eastern tradition, however, the serpentine-shaped dragon is a symbol of potent power and abundant good fortune. This carefully crafted 99.99% pure silver rectangular bullion coin features a minted impression of a meticulously detailed depiction of an oriental dragon, snarling with open claws and intricately scaled wings.
The design also incorporates the inscription '2026’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. It features radiant lines in the background, along with the inscription “CHARLES III AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight, purity, and monetary denomination.
AUTHENTICATION FEATURE
The coin incorporates an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter, it is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
PRESENTATION
The Dragon 2026 1oz Silver Rectangular Bullion Coin is presented without a capsule in protective,
convenient tubes of 20 coins. It is also available in a monster box containing 10 tubes.
