2022 30g Silver Chinese Panda Coin

On the motif side of the 30 gram Silver Panda 2022 Features two adorable panda cubs playing in the snow. One panda is lying on its belly and other on its back, both sliding down a slope of snow. The face value of 10 yuan is also minted. On the upper edge the fine weight of 30 grams and the fineness of 999/1000 and the material (AG = Argentum, in German silver) are shown. The back of the Silver Panda 30 grams shows, as every year, the Beijing Temple of Heaven, the year 2022 and the words "People's Republic of China" in Chinese characters. The panda has been issued in silver since 1983. Initially, the number of copies was strongly limited (10,000 pieces in the first year), but the number of copies has been expanded with increasing popularity. Until 2008 it was still limited to 600,000 pieces, after which it was issued in the high millions. The panda has been given in grams since 2016. Before that, denominations were left in ounces. The first few years were weighted at 27 grams each. Thanks to its very high quality, the panda has always been popular with collectors and especially with Chinese investors. There are certainly historical reasons for this, as silver money has played a major role in China since the Ming Dynasty
