Australia’s most famous marsupial, the kangaroo has appeared on The Perth Mint’s signature coin series since 1989. Featuring superbly observed portrayals of the iconic animal, the Australian Kangaroo is renowned worldwide for its quality, purity, and design.

DESIGN:

The coin portrays a kangaroo looking over its shoulder. The background and other artistic elements, including representations of a eucalyptus tree and grass trees, are gilded in 24-carat gold. Inscriptions within the gilded area include ‘KANGAROO’ and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION:

This release is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged within an illustrated shipper, the coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
