Beth Zaiken
Beth Zaiken is a Minnesota-based professional artist and illustrator. As a principal artist and lead muralist for Blue Rhino Studio and part of the Artist Infusion Program for the United States Mint, she has over a decade of experience creating large-scale murals and reconstructions of modern and prehistoric animals in both traditional and digital media.
Ultra high relief design
The coin’s reverse portrays a koala sitting in a tree, happily eating eucalyptus foliage. Included on the reverse is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the 2025 year-date.
The coin’s ultra high relief reverse is minted on a concave surface to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
Presentation packaging
The coin is housed in a grey leatherette display case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. Packaged in a beautifully illustrated shipper it includes the inscription 'BETH ZAIKEN COLLECTION THE KOALA'.
